Bill Gates said currency encryption and anonymity are the main reason for such crimes, making life easier for those who want to keep their financial transactions hidden from the government and find it difficult to find contraband, detect tax evasion, and terrorist financing.
As for his opinion on investing in digital currencies, he also said that it is not a good idea because it is surrounded by risks and that no one is advised to invest in them but looking for anything else would be better.
