Sony officially unveiled the Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus phones

Sony today officially unveiled two new smart phones in India, Xperia R1 and Xperia R1 Plus. Sony says the phones are designed "to suit the Indian way of life" and "to inspire new Indians."



For the Xperia R1, it comes with standard technical specifications including a 5.2 "screen with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, a Snapdragon 430 eight-core processor, 2GB random memory, 16GB internal memory expandable via external memory MicroSD, 8 megapixels and a 13 megapixel back-up that supports hybrid autofocus technology that uses element tracking technology and motion prediction to focus on moving elements.

In addition, Sony supplied the new Xperia R1 with a 2620mAh battery, two SIM slots, a USB Type-C port, and a Nougat 7.0 Android system. The Xperia R1 Plus comes with almost the same Xperia R1 technology specifications, except for 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory.

Overall, Sony has priced the Xperia R1 at around 13990 Indian rupees ($ 215), while the Xperia R1 Plus is priced at Rs 15,990 (US $ 245). Both phones will be available for purchase in black and silver.
